BURNA BOY AND FIVIO FOREIGN ANNOUNCED

Burna Boy and Fivio Foreign as well as DaBaby, Wizkid, D-Block Europe, Semtex and Tim Westwood are all locked for an unmissable 6 days of sun, beach and vibes along the idyllic Adriatic shores.

Topping the list of international names revealed in phase 2 who will be playing live are 2 celebrated artists representing a myriad of sounds and genres. In a survey we took on our socials, Burna Boy received the most votes! You voted, we booked it. An integral force in the global Afrobeats phenomenon, Burna Boy has truly put Nigeria on the map in recent years with his magnetic blend of musical charisma, elegant rhythm and message of positivism and parties. His fourth studio album African Giant was released in July 2019, winning Album of the Year at the 2019 All Africa Music Awards and was nominated for Best World Music Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. Along with the African Giant, fellow Nigerian, Wizkid will be joining the stage. Fresh Island Week is bringing 2 of the top 5 most-streamed Afrobeats artists to Croatia.

Fivio Foreign is the rising New York rapper behind the hit Big Drip. Brooklyn Drill music has been heating up for the last year or so, with names like Pop Smoke and Sheff G and surging into popularity off the high-paced and menacing sound of the city. Utilizing beats and styles from U.K. Drill, yet re-imagined with East Coast flair, there’s a lot of room to be unique in your own right. In comes Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign, who’s been gaining traction since last August with his infectious song “Big Drip.” Since his debut, he’s worked with Rich the Kid, Tory Lanez and Meek Mill among others. Fresh Island Week will be organizing a “Tribute to Pop Smoke” featuring Fivio Foreign to honor the late Pop Smoke who was supposed to perform on a Fresh Island Week 2020.
