How to get here

If you have never been to Croatia, or Island of Pag, maybe it is best that you don’t wander around the country while trying to locate and get to Fresh Island. So, this is the first time you are joining us on Zrće for our Fresh summer adventure? Let us give you a quick tour. We have made you an action plan so that you can have the best time ever. You will know all that you need to know in 5,4,3,2,1…

TICKET TO PARADISE

First thing is first, you need your Fresh Island ticket. Standard one gives you the access to all of the events, but if you fancy a little bit of luxury why not choose to upgrade to VIP treatment. The benefits of purchasing a VIP ticket:

AIRPORTS

The nearest airport is Zadar, which is 87km away and is around an hour from the festival. The island is of course reachable from other airports from city of Split, Zagreb or Dubrovnik.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS – Getting to the festival

We can offer you festival transfers with our travel partner that will bring you straight from the airport to Novalja from this cities: Zagreb, Split, Zadar. Contact is via email for airport transfer request: info@fresh-island.org

IF YOU’RE COMING BY CAR:

If you decide to come by car, the best solution is to calculate your itinerary on www.viamichelin.com or www.mappy.fr.

You need: a driving licence, a green card (car insurance) and your car registration documents when entering Croatia. The identification letters for Croatia on the international green card are HR.

Motorways are not free of charge and there are tolls.
The island of Pag is very long and if you are arriving from Zadar or Split, the best option is crossing the Pag bridge in Posedarje. If you are arriving from Zagreb or Rijeka you have the possibility to take the ferry in Prizna, which will take you to Zigljen on the island of Pag (about 5km from Novalja). Ferries operate every hour, during high-season even more often.

ACCOMMODATION – Your Fresh home

Maybe you are an adventurous type who likes to roll out the sleeping bag on the beach and dream under the stars, but we would definitely advise you to get a room. Fresh Island can be really intense when it comes to dancing, partying and not sleeping, so you’ll need a good and comfortable base to rest and reset between the parties. DAILY TRANFER FROM CITY OF NOVALJA TO FESTIVAL LOCATION

You can reach it fast, safe and cheap by bus from Novalja or Gajac to Zrce Beach and back. The city bus drives day and night multiple times in the hour and mostly around the clock. Book your weekly ticket for any number of trips comfortably and simply in advance and make sure you get the Fresh Island benefits:

TAKE CARE OF YOUR TUMMY

We all know how important it is to eat, and we all know how much we all love to eat. 🙂 Sooo, to have enough energy to last the whole festival, you should explore Croatian food and local cuisine. Novalja has many bars and restaurants that are serving great seafood, meat, famous local cheese, olive oil and amazing salads. Also, Fresh Island will be hosting a brunch event on the beach every day during the festival days in a restaurant in Zrce. You won’t stay hungry in any case.
